Dan Froelich Bio PicDan Froelich is currently responsible for coordinating and facilitating both face to face online professional development in the area of instructional technology at the North Carolina Teacher Academy.  An advocate for social media and blended communication & learning, he can be found across many online educational technology channels. As an active member of the NEA affiliate – the North Carolina Association of Educators, Dan has provided support across many membership divisions, including ESPs, educators, administrators, and higher education.

He holds a North Carolina teaching certificate in Elementary Education and completed his graduate degree with a Master’s Degree in Education in the area of Instructional Technology. He graduated from East Carolina University as a certified Technology Coordinator.

Dan spent most of his life in from New Bern, North Carolina. Working as a classroom teacher and as a school level Technology Facilitator, he has been vital in the integration of 21st Century Skills in school curriculum. Dan is a certified Intel Master Teacher and SMART Certified Trainer. His active role in the National Education Association and North Carolina Association of Educators and the North Carolina Teaching Fellows program has given him a variety of experiences at the state level. He has also presented at a number of national, regional, and state conferences.

Dan completed his undergraduate work in Elementary Education at UNC Pembroke as a Teaching Fellow. His concentrations were in Sociology and Computer Science. During his undergraduate studies, Dan completed an exchange program at Växjö University in Sweden
